Reflection's Flora and Fauna
A collection of my photos of flora and fauna, and maybe now and then,
something else that catches my attention and just will not let go.
Maybe even with little verbage, which is pretty hard for this gal.

Sea of Short, Tiny Daisy Wanna Be Look Alikes

.
OK, you can guess from the title I have no idea what these delightful, small, ground cover type of daisy wanna be look alikes are.  Taken in Salt Lake City in Temple Square on June 10th, they are only 4 or 5 inches tall.

Short does not mean they are not tall on delightful.

MickeyDee's Rose, From the Archives

.
Salt Lake City Utah may have the most beautiful roses I have ever seen, between mid May and mid June the roses all around the city were outstanding.  Everywhere I turned there were more roses, Temple Square, neighborhoods, restaurants, even at MickeyDees (McDonalds).   This rose was growing at MickeyDees.   Just a little something different to accompany your burger and fries.  Looks like a few aphids are enjoying lunch at MickeyDees too!   LOL

TOTALLY OUTSTANDING!

My Sumac

.
Beautiful red sumac grows at the edge of the woods in our  yard here in SE Michigan. I love sumac in the fall and the more the better. Interesting thing about sumac, it seems to have a short life, and some years there is a large show, other years almost none.  Photo taken from our deck October 9, 2011.

Tulip Tree Pods

.
Look hard, you will see it, a pod hiding with the leaves.  Man and I have a tulip tree growing in our front yard,  or trying to grow.  It struggled for several years to gain any size, finally the last year or so, we are starting to see some real growth.  Still no seed pods tho.  I can't wait!

The Burning Bush and it's Waterfall.

.

See it, back there in the back left, a beautiful burning bush.  One thing about burning bushes, they are either burn your eyes out glowing red or they are blahhh.  Mine this year, blahhh.  Obviously, these are not mine!  LOL

It's That Purple and Bee Thing Again.

.

Yes, I love purple (who knew?) and yellow is pretty nice too.  Believe these are asters and someone does not care if he/she is hanging upside down or not, the nectar is yummy and necessary at this time of the year in lower Michigan.

I am not really into puzzles, but, the moment I saw this photo, that is what I thought of, what a great puzzle this would make!

A Bit of Red, and a Bit of Orange, and a Bit of Yellow

.
Sugar maples or any tree for that matter, that turn shades of red in the fall, are highly valued and appreciated.  They knock our socks off with the glow and glare, and we love it.

Yellow Mums, Auto Levels Art

.
Usually when I load a photo into Adobe for editing and resizing, the first button I click is "auto levels" .  Many times I love what it does, other times I don't like the fix or I just don't think it is accurate in the changes it makes.  Sometimes I just don't see any change.  THEN, there are times when the program does something so startling I gasp in horror, OR delight.  Sometimes I at thrilled at the results, like today, totally love the color of the foliage, who knew??  Well, obviously, Adobe did!  LOL

Abstract Modern Art, Seed Style

.
How's this for a fancy smancy seed??  Just LOVE how those smaller stems curl and wrap around the main seed, so artistic!   Have no idea what it is, but, thought it was amazing, and tall, about 6 feet tall, if I remember correctly.  It was quite a distance from the sidewalk, and there was this big hunk of fence between me and the plant - - - Thank you Sony, your zoom did good!  LOL
