Reflection's Flora and Fauna
A collection of my photos of flora and fauna, and maybe now and then,
something else that catches my attention and just will not let go.
Maybe even with little verbage, which is pretty hard for this gal.

Pronghorn of Bryce Canyon Utah

.
I have another photo of pronghorns on Flora and Fauna, from when Man and I were visiting the Carlsbad New Mexico area.  They were in a zoo-like setting.  We caught this one in the wild at Bryce Canyon National Park in early May 2011.  Note he/she has just about shed the winter coat, except for one strand hanging (dark in color).  I could not determine from some internet research if this was a male or female. Pronghorns are considered to be the first or second fastest land mammal in the Western Hemisphere.

Wing - Like

.

These leaves (or flowers?) from last year's growth on this unknown plant remind me of wings.  Taken in Moab Utah area in late April 2011.

Yellow Spikes

.
Photographed around Moab Utah, at the end of April, 2011.  And, yes, caught another critter, a bee this time.

Don't ever think there is not life in the desert.

Peaking Through The Rubber Rabitbrush

.

Otherwise known as the chrysothamnus nauseosus, this photo was taken on our ride into Canyonlands National Park, Needles District.  I was drawn to the dried winter versions of plants in the desert, trying time and time again to get a photo that showed what I felt was beauty, dried, but beauty.

I decided I liked this photo, that it had promise, loaded it into the photo editor, started cropping, re-sizing, a little contrast and brightness, when I discovered a little surprise, a critter in the top right of the photo.  Gotta say, it is a VERY good thing I did not see it while I was taking the photo, as I am NO fan of  bugs, especially those that look like they might jump or fly at me in a heartbeat, they tend to make my heart beat stop!
