Purple Loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria)

Note, tentative identification. I love purple, and, it hurts me to realize that this is considered an invasive plant here in Michigan, but, sighhh, so it is, that is, if I identified this correctly. The flower looks different than the photos, so, hoping I got it wrong! I have been told that this is an invasive plant tho, so, as usual, I am confused.

A small house plant I have, chosen mostly for the pattern of the leaves, as I did not know it bloomed.
