Live in groups called, Mobs, Gangs or Clans, of up to 50 individuals.  Belong to the mongoose family, behaving somewhat like prairie dogs.

They put on quite the show!  These palm trees were quite high, we were sitting cross the pond, Sony Too was zooming away!

Mexican Manzanita

Red Rock Canyon National Conservative Area, near Las Vegas, Nevada.  March 6th.

The shrub is about 6 foot, the leaves are 1 inch, and these little pink and white flowers are about 1/4 inch long.  Photos both taken from same bush, in different light.
