Reflection's Flora and Fauna
A collection of my photos of flora and fauna, and maybe now and then,
something else that catches my attention and just will not let go.
Maybe even with little verbage, which is pretty hard for this gal.

In The Pink

.

This pink bush has given me fits for a couple of years, photography fits that is.  When I shoot, I get lots of red and glare and little contrast.  A Google+ friend, Dawn, posted a photo taken late in the day with a flash, next night I was out trying it.  First attempt:

How Hot And Dry Is It?

.
Hot and dry enough to bring the stingers (believe it is a wasp) to the bird bath for LONG drinks.

Hummer Heaven

.
A little place for the hummers.  I have one particular male that comes to visit and stands on top of one of the shepherd hooks between drinks.  It is amazing to see him stand so still for so long, no wings moving.  How DOES he hold on, that hook is good size diameter and his little feet are so, well, little!

Me, The Thistle or the Snake. Snake Wins.

.
I hate thistle, really hate it.  And, my yard has a lot of thistle, a LOT!  I was about to remove (again) some thistle that has invaded my flower beds and just will NOT go away when I looked down and saw this fella (or gal, or whatever!) guarding my thistle.

As much as I hate thistle, I hate snakes more.  The snake, he (she or it) won, and the thistle is still there.

Nope, I have no idea what it is, but, I am pretty sure it is not the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake.

I really hate thistle.  I really REALLY hate snakes!

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!

Hope he (she, it) does not decide to sun himself (herself or itself) tomorrow, I am gonna have a shovel, you listening Mr. (or Mrs. or It) Snake??
