And, here is another petunia, again an unusual color combination. What a delight.

Mystery Flower from Little Bighorn
.
I spied these growing in the wild grasses areas near the Visitors Center at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. They were growing in an area that was being refurbished, they asked you not to walk on the grounds. They were only a few inches tall and the flower itself was 1 to 2 inches in diameter. I wondered if it was not some kind of bulb.

Western Wonder Weed

Saw lots of this growing in Arizona and Utah. Never really found out what it was. Was hard to photograph, as the spent flowers are small and any little gust of wind blew them all over and out of focus. MMM, it seems to be rather breezy in Arizona and Utah, a LOT!
I like the star like quality, and the straw like quality.

Got a Guess, What Am I??
.
Found growing at Arches National Park in Moab at the end of April.
Below, the flowers in "bud" stage.
Below, flowers, quickly becoming "spent".
The stalk or stem:
The whole plant.
So, what is it??
Rumex hymenosepalus, commonly known as Canaigre or wild rhubarb, found growing at Arches National Park in Moab.
* The stem gave it away to me. LOL

Open Range Country, Got Beef??
.
Near Monument Valley, Utah.
White at bottom of photo is Big Butt's hood. You might be able to see that there is fencing to the far right of the photo. Question, from one who was experiencing open range for the first time, why have a fence at all if you are going to let them roam on the highway? This was a main road too, heavily traveled. We traveled this road to move further north into Utah, and we just about nailed some of this burger on the hoof when leaving, with Tana in tow.
