Reflection's Flora and Fauna
A collection of my photos of flora and fauna, and maybe now and then,
something else that catches my attention and just will not let go.
Maybe even with little verbage, which is pretty hard for this gal.

Is There Anything More Charming Than Hummers??

One of the work campers (they work for their camp site) in La Quinta had 3 or 4 hummingbird feeders.  The other afternoon I shot off 20 quick photos.  The hummers let me get quite close.  They are so much fun and so charming.

Incredible! Our friends in Colorado had hummers that would come right up around their deck and hang around. I'm so desperate to get hummers to visit regularly here; we've had sightings but nothing regular.

Absolutely awesome. Love your photos and these little guys are my favorites. We are trying to pick a native vine that hummers like to plant at the house.

In the late Spring when the pool has warmed enough I like to go out and lay on a raft at 8 a.m. (a lovely quiet time) and watch the one or two hummers fly to the Firebush hedge along one end of the screened lanai and back up to the tiny branch in my Laurel Oak. They would do that every morning for about 2 hours before flying on to some other food source. These are wonderful photos Carol. Your photography is always amazing!

Great photography! I love hummers and your photos really show the detail I never get to see as they flit around. Researching when they might show up here is on my to-do list along with planting something for them.
