Reflection's Flora and Fauna
A collection of my photos of flora and fauna, and maybe now and then,
something else that catches my attention and just will not let go.
Maybe even with little verbage, which is pretty hard for this gal.

Let Me Introduce You to Sam, the Tame Pelican

.
Sam is a tame pelican, who has been tagged and lives around Gulf Shores Alabama.  These photos were taken on December 1, 2011 on the Gulf State Park fishing pier.

Below:    Snack time, thanks to a local fisherman.

Hmmmm, almost as if Sam were saying, "What do I do with THIS now??"

I did a cross stitch of a pelican many years ago and my mother has done paintings of them and my dad has done carvings of them. They are awkward looking birds but they are good at fishing...although this guy appears to have an "entitlement mentality", LOL! Why work for a living when you can sit on a rail and have it handed to you?

What a sweetie! (I'm catching up on old posts that I missed in my reader - they have been "magically" restored through a weird series of events).
