Reflection's Flora and Fauna
A collection of my photos of flora and fauna, and maybe now and then,
something else that catches my attention and just will not let go.
Maybe even with little verbage, which is pretty hard for this gal.

Duck, Duck, What KIND of Duck?

.

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium.

Can you identify this beauty??  It may not be a resident of North America.

*  Thanks to cousin Connie, I believe we have the identification, Black-bellied Whistling Duck, see this page.

I think that it can be quite tricky to identify some of the strange ducks we see. Some are hybrids - resulting from the mating of two different breeds ... just like a mixed breed dog. It happens naturally as well as through duck fanciers.
