Mandarin Duck

Photographed at the Gladys Porter Zoo, Brownsville, Texas.  Per "Field Guide to the Birds of North America", National Geographic Society, 1983, 1987 this Asian species is common in zoos and private collections.  He is about 18 inches tall.
